Princess the Dog needs a home
Meet Princess
Princess is a special girl they we have been working with for almost a year. She was one of 8 dachshunds that were surrendered to us after living her life with rare human interaction. She has finally gotten to a point where she is less nervous and once she gets one-on-one attention she warms up rather quickly. New people scare her and quick movements and loud noises startle her. She needs to be in a home with adults only that do not have many people coming and going. Princess likes other dogs her size but has had little exposure to large dogs. Her house-training and leash walking skills are a work in progress. We are requiring that the home she is adopted into has a secure, fenced yard because of her fearful demeanor. She would do best in a home that can give her constant attention. Princess is currently on medication to help with her fear and anxiety but once acclimated to her new home and once she has overcome her fear will be able to be weaned off. We are being very selective of the home Princess goes to because she is a challenging dachshund. You must have experience with fearful and anxious dogs to be considered and you must have a fenced yard. Thank you!
